Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Opens Nominations for 2026 SHCC Awards

Community invited to recognize outstanding businesses, leaders, board members, ambassadors and new members making an impact across Solano County

FAIRFIELD, Calif. — The Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2026 SHCC Awards, recognizing individuals and businesses whose leadership, service and commitment are making a meaningful difference throughout Solano County.

Nominations are open now through September 25, 2026. Community members are encouraged to submit nominations.

The 2026 SHCC Awards will recognize excellence in five categories:

• Business of the Year / Empresa del Año

• Community Leader of the Year / Líder Comunitario del Año

• Board Member of the Year / Miembro de la Junta Directiva del Año

• Ambassador of the Year / Embajador del Año

• New Member of the Year / Nuevo Miembro del Año

The awards are designed to celebrate the businesses and leaders who demonstrate strong leadership, community engagement, service, advocacy, business excellence and commitment to the Chamber and the broader Solano County community.

Business of the Year recognizes a current Chamber member business in good standing that demonstrates excellence or growth, active participation in Chamber programs or initiatives, strong community involvement and positive leadership in the region.

Community Leader of the Year recognizes an individual, whether a Chamber member or not, who has made a significant impact in the local community, particularly through leadership, advocacy, inclusion, collaboration and support for Latino and underrepresented communities in Solano County.

Board Member of the Year recognizes a current SHCC board member in good standing who has gone above and beyond through leadership, accountability, service, participation and support of Chamber events and membership engagement.

Ambassador of the Year recognizes an active SHCC Ambassador of at least six months who consistently represents the Chamber, welcomes and supports members, participates in Chamber and outreach events and serves as a positive connector between SHCC and the local business community.

New Member of the Year recognizes a current Chamber member in good standing that demonstrates business excellence or growth, active participation in Chamber programs, sponsorships or initiatives, a strong commitment to community involvement, and positive leadership as a role model for other businesses in the region.

Through the Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, these acknowledgments elevate voices that often go unseen and reinforce a culture of service and leadership. Celebrating their work reminds us what’s possible when our business community leads with purpose,” said Cruz Avila, President/CEO of the Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

Award recipients will be recognized as part of the Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Gala on October 23, 2026.
