Solano HCC Invites Community Leaders to Apply for Board Member Opportunities
Solano County, CA - The Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is inviting community-minded leaders, business owners, professionals, entrepreneurs, and supporters of Hispanic and small business growth to apply for board member opportunities before the August 7, 2026 deadline. The Chamber is seeking individuals who are ready to serve, contribute ideas, strengthen relationships, and help create a stronger local business community across Solano County.
The Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, also known as SHCC, proudly serves and empowers the Hispanic business community of Solano County. Since 1990, SHCC has worked to support business development, education, advocacy, networking, cultural representation, and economic vitality for Hispanic-owned businesses and small businesses. The Chamber's mission is rooted in building a supportive community that values inclusivity, diversity, leadership development, advocacy, ethical practices, and opportunities for growth and prosperity.
Board service is one of the most meaningful ways to help guide that mission. SHCC board members and board volunteers support the work that connects business owners to resources, creates visibility for local entrepreneurs, strengthens partnerships, and helps ensure the voices of Hispanic and small business communities are represented. This opportunity is especially important for people who believe in practical support, community trust, and the long-term success of local businesses in Vallejo, Benicia, Fairfield, Suisun City, Vacaville, Dixon, Rio Vista, and surrounding areas.
Current opportunities include areas such as the Event Committee, Ambassador Program, Fundraising, and Government Affairs. These areas reflect several of the Chamber's most visible and important community functions. Events bring members and partners together for networking, education, celebration, and business visibility. The Ambassador Program helps welcome members, build relationships, and represent SHCC at community activities. Fundraising supports programs, scholarships, services, and outreach that allow the Chamber to continue serving local businesses. Government Affairs helps keep members connected to civic conversations, policy issues, and public-sector relationships that affect the small business community.
SHCC is looking for people who bring a creative mindset, a heart for service, a positive attitude, and the time to participate consistently.
