Member Spotlight: Gabe Gramajo, Founder of Ideas Factory
Helping Small Businesses Thrive in a Digital World — Con Corazón y Tecnología
Meet Gabe Gramajo, a proud SHCC member and founder of Ideas Factory, a local tech company with a big mission: helping small and medium-sized businesses — especially in our Hispanic community — grow with technology that’s both accessible and effective.
Originally from Mercedes, Uruguay, Gabe’s journey began with childhood curiosity, sneaking peeks into a neighborhood computer shop and eventually becoming a systems analyst. He came to the U.S. more than 20 years ago to work on global development software for USAID and has since dedicated his career to building digital bridges for businesses here in Northern California.
But Gabe doesn’t just build software. He builds trust, relationships, and puentes de oportunidad.
“We see ourselves as a spare wheel that helps businesses move forward,” Gabe says. “We try to understand both the business and the people running it, to give solutions that really work — not just throw tech at them.”

- Prototyping: Testing your business idea without breaking the bank
- Tech Support Packs: Like their “TakeCare10” — 10 hours of flexible tech support for those without an IT team
- Custom Software Solutions: When off-the-shelf tools like Shopify or OpenTable don’t quite fit
- AI Tools: Automating tasks like customer chats, emails, and even sales forecasting using platforms like ChatGPT and WhatsApp
Whether it’s integrating PayPal or training a team on cybersecurity, Gabe’s focus is always on empowering business owners with tools they can actually use.
🛡️ Sharing His Expertise with the Community
Gabe was recently invited to speak at SHCC’s Emergency Preparedness Workshop, where he led a session on Cybersecurity for Small Businesses — offering practical tips on spotting phishing emails, creating stronger passwords, and protecting online access.
“Cyber attacks are becoming more common, and small businesses are just as vulnerable,” Gabe shared. “If we can help someone avoid a scam or recover faster, that’s a win for all of us.”
His workshop contribution was just another example of how he uses his technical expertise para servir a la comunidad.

💬 Advice for Emprendedores
Gabe has seen too many entrepreneurs jump into tech ideas without testing them first.
“Just because you have a great idea doesn’t mean you need to build it all at once,” he says. “Start small, create a prototype, and validate it. That saves time and money.”
He also encourages small businesses to explore free or low-cost tools like Google Sheets and ChatGPT to start tracking data and automating simple tasks — freeing up time to focus on lo que realmente importa.
