California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce Announces Global Business Titan Sol Trujillo as Keynote Speaker for 47th Annual Statewide Convention

SACRAMENTO, CA – The California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce (CHCC) is proud to announce that internationally recognized business leader Solomon ("Sol") Trujillo will deliver the keynote address at the Hispanic Business Luncheon at the 47th Annual Statewide Convention. The premier event will be held August 19-21, 2026, at the Oakland Marriott City Center in Oakland, California.

A globally respected executive and digital pioneer, Trujillo has built an extraordinary career leading some of the world's most influential communications and technology companies. He holds the rare distinction of having served as CEO of major large-cap corporations across three continents: U.S. West in the Americas (where he became the first native-born Latino CEO of a Fortune 200 company), Orange S.A. in Europe, and Telstra, Australia’s largest telecommunications firm.

Recognized as one of the 100 Most Influential Latinos in the World, Trujillo has spent nearly four decades serving on corporate boards worldwide, including those of Bank of America, PepsiCo, and Target, and currently serves on Western Union's board.

Beyond his corporate legacy, Trujillo is a fierce champion for the economic advancement of the U.S. Latino community. He is the Co-Founder and Chairman of the Latino Donor Collaborative (LDC), a high-impact nonprofit dedicated to reshaping the narrative about U.S. Latinos through authoritative, data-driven research, including the widely cited U.S. Latino GDP Report

Additionally, Trujillo is the Co-Founder of L'ATTITUDE and the creator of its premier national conference platform, Velocity, which brings together top Fortune 500 CEOs, policymakers, and investors to harness the multi-trillion-dollar spending power driving the "New Mainstream Economy." He further fuels this economic engine as Co-Founder of L'ATTITUDE Ventures, a purpose-driven venture fund that invests in early-stage, U.S. Latino-led businesses.

"We are honored to welcome Sol Trujillo as our keynote speaker," said CHCC President and CEO Julian Cañete. "His remarkable leadership at global giants, combined with his groundbreaking economic advocacy through the LDC, L'ATTITUDE, and Velocity, makes him an unparalleled voice for our attendees. We look forward to the insights he will share with California's small businesses, entrepreneurs, and community leaders as we continue working together to power the future."

The CHCC Annual Statewide Convention is the premier gathering of Emerging and Hispanic business and community leaders in the Western United States, drawing more than 1,250 entrepreneurs, executives, corporate partners, chamber leaders, policymakers, and community advocates from across the country.

Centered on this year's theme, "Powering the Future," the three-day convention fosters collaboration, innovation, and economic growth. Attendees will participate in business procurement matchmaking sessions, educational breakout workshops, policy discussions, and an expo. The event will culminate with the CHCC Annual Awards, honoring outstanding Hispanic and emerging businesses whose contributions continue to strengthen California's economy.
