Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Awards First Business Scholarships to Local Entrepreneurs

Investing in Hispanic-Owned Small Businesses in Solano County
The Solano Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SHCC) is making history with its first-ever Business Scholarship Awards, presented at the Havana Nights Gala.
This year, SHCC awarded two Business Scholarships of $2,500 each to support Hispanic-owned small businesses that are growing, innovating, and creating impact across Solano County, including Fairfield, Vallejo, Vacaville, Suisun City, Benicia, Dixon, and Rio Vista.
The goal is simple and powerful:
Help local entrepreneurs invest in the tools, technology, and resources they need to take their businesses to the next level.
SHCC received 10 applications from local business owners, each sharing their story, their challenges, and their vision for growth. After a careful review, two recipients stood out for their clarity, plan for impact, and commitment to community.

What Is the SHCC Business Scholarship?
The SHCC Business Scholarship is a funding opportunity created to directly support Hispanic-owned and diverse small businesses in Solano County.
Applicants are evaluated on:
  • Business need & background
  • Planned use of funds
  • Growth and impact potential
  • Measurable outcomes
  • Engagement with SHCC and the local community
This is not just a check. It’s an investment in local entrepreneurs who are already doing the work and are ready to grow with the right support.
