Webinar on CPUC's Equity and Access Grant Program Application Process

We invite you to register for our upcoming webinar on CPUC Equity and Access Grant Program Application process. (see flyer attached)

What: The Equity & Access Grant Program will provide $30 million in funding for community-based organizations (CBOs) and Tribes to participate in CPUC’s decision-making processes and make clean energy programs more accessible to underserved and underrepresented communities.

How: Grant Program strives to address the need to include the voices of underserved and underrepresented communities in CPUC decision-making processes. The program includes three grant accounts:

1. Public Participation Grants: $3.1 million grant account will award up to $15,000 for participating in a CPUC activity, such as a working group, panel, or focus group.

1. Equity, Engagement, and Education Grants: $9.75 million grant account will award up to $200,000 for work that will educate consumers or perform outreach within an underserved community on a CPUC matter.

1. Clean Energy Access Grants*: $15.65 million grant account will award up to $500,000 for work that will address access to or education about the Microgrid Incentive Program (MIP), Self-Generation Incentive Program (SGIP), and Technology and Equipment for Clean Heating (TECH) Initiative.

* Aug. 9 webinar will focus on the specifics for the Public Participation and Equity, Engagement, and Education Grants. The CPUC will hold a separate webinar in the future to discuss the application specifics of the Clean Energy Access Grant.
