In spite of the recent rain and snowfall, California remains in a drought and conserving water is critical now more than ever. The reality of climate change is that we will face more frequent cycles of droughts and floods, so it is important that our businesses take the proper steps now to prepare for this uncertain water future.
As a business owner, it can be hard to figure out where you can cut down on your water usage and trim money from your water bill, so the California Hispanic Chambers of Commerce has organized a series of conversations with California Water Service (Cal Water) to help you make sense of our ongoing water issues.
On Thursday, February 17th at 11 a.m. we’re hosting an informational webinar discussion with Cal Water to discuss what resources are available for businesses and residents to help you conserve water.
We’ll discuss why conserving water is important and programs to make it easier to upgrade to more water efficient appliances, find and fix leaky pipes, replace lawns with drought tolerant alternatives and more! We encourage you to join, even if you are not in Cal Water’s service territory to learn how to access programs offered by your water service provider!
